I strongly believe that I was Mexican in my past life or will be in my next. I mean, I like burritos, tacos and margaritas to no end. Arroz y frijoles is my jam as well.
I always found Dia de los Muertos fascinating. It's a celebration after all! Unlike in most cultures where skulls and partying around gravestones is considered taboo, this holiday celebrates those who are have past and the lives that they've lived. In fact, when I die, I want my funeral to be a celebration. It'll definitely be in my will.
Any-whoo, since Halloween is approaching and it's one of my favorite holidays, I made this simple DIY napkin. All you need is:
- A bar napkin
- Stencil
- Fabric Markers
- Painter's Tape
Step 1: Tape the Stencil
Step 2: Color in
Step 3: Let it set. Most fabric paints take about 24 hours and need to be treated with a hot iron. That's it!
