Out of all the fall holidays, I feel like Thanksgiving is the most genuine. The reason for that is because the whole idea of it is simply sitting around a dinner table and being thankful. Unlike Christmas, there is no present giving, but simply enjoying everyone's company. This year, for the first time, I'll be having a Friendsgiving and cooking for my band of misfits. I wanted to decorate the house accordingly by making this burlap table run.
What you'll need is:
- Burlap
- Pouncer brush (I didn't have one and just used a regular one, but pouncer brush makes things a bit easier)
- Fabric paint
- Stencil (Mine were removable, but reusable stencils would work fine as well)
- Painter's tape
Simple steps are:
Step 1: Arrange your letters
Step 2: Tape them down. Make sure that there are no open spaces!
Step 3: Paint it by literally pouncing your brush up and down, otherwise paint will sweep under your stencil and you won't have clean lines
Step 4: Let set for 24 hours and voila! Give some thanks!
